Tips for building document descriptions

  1. Start with the description you want
You can copy or type a good document description into the Expression field. Replace any dynamic sections with an empty set of square brackets (i.e. "[]"), and then click the Parse button to create the basic structure of the description. You can then click each individual node to specify the content you want to appear in the description.

  2. Modify the expression if it's easier
If you only want to change a small detail, there's no need to navigate through the tree; simply edit the expression and click the Parse button to have your changes reflected in the tree.

  3. Drag-and-drop nodes to rearrange the description
You can drag parts of the expression with the mouse to change their order or to move them from one parent to another.

  4. Nest conditional expressions to model additional conditions
Conditional expressions such as 'First non-empty value' accept only two values, however you can compare three or more values by adding an additional conditional expression under the second value. This can also be used to determine whether multiple attributes have been set, or whether several values are equal.
